Dvd printing is an important feature used by large and small DVD production houses to print information on DVDs. Actually, dvd printing is a labeling technique that helps to identify DVDs. Thus, dvd printing is essential part of your commercial DVD production.

Your DVDs usually come coated with directly printable lacquer films with ability to absorb ink, and the process of directly printing the lacquer films on your DVDs is technically known as dvd printing. Your dvd printing solution lies in – inkjet dvd printing, thermal transfer dvd printing, screen dvd printing, and offset dvd printing – which you may choose according to need and requirement.

The printing process using CMYK Inkjet printers is known as inkjet printing. The inkjet dvd printing offers you the stunning results with high resolution and vibrant colors. The inkjet dvd printing is good choice for small runs of dvds, or when you need fast printing results. Inkjet dvd printing is not suited for large number of dvds, as it is uneconomical as compared to silkscreen cd printing, or lithographic cd printing.

The printing process based on melting a coating of colored ribbon onto your dvd surfaces is known as Thermal transfer dvd printing. The thermal transfer is a popular dvd printing technique that is cost effective for small runs and offers you the finishing superior even to lithographic dvd printing. The thermal transfer dvd printing offers fast and wonderful results, and thus it has grown very popular for small runs of DVDs.

The printmaking technique that creates a sharp-edged image using stencils is known as screen printing. Screen printing is popular dvd printing technique suitable for large DVD runs. Screen dvd printing is a cost-effective method for larger quantities of DVDs. Screen dvd printing offers you the remarkable and vivid results. In screen dvd printing, your “per unit” costs significantly drop, when you order over 1000 units of DVDs.

The printmaking technique where the inked image is transferred (or "offset") from a plate to a rubber blanket, then to the printing surface is known as Offset printing, and it is known as Lithographic (Offset) printing, when used in combination with the lithographic process. It is widely popular dvd printing technique. Offset dvd printing is well suited for the high volumes of DVDs. Offset dvd printing offers you outstanding results and conspicuous images. This is the perfect option for over 1,000 units of DVDs.

Your dvd printing and dvd printing services mainly depend on your needs and requirements. You may find a lot of dvd printing services. You can also hire dvd printing services online. You can find a number of online dvd printing companies offering you dvd printing services online.

Ananhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14190504033371620866noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6593017373600233356.post-20390662514980109772009-05-20T20:13:00.000-07:002009-05-20T20:13:00.395-07:00Repair a Scratched CD or DVD with Household ItemsIf you’re having problems getting a CD to work in your computer because it’s scratched, there are some easy solutions. First, try cleaning the CD with a little dish detergent. Use your finger to gently rub the detergent on the CD and coat it real good. Don’t use a cloth, it can make more scratches and defeat your purpose. Rinse it off well with water and try the CD in the drive again. If you are still getting read errors due to the scratches, then it’s time for the unlikely solution: toothpaste. Yep, you read it right. Put a little toothpaste on a Q-tip and polish the scratched area until they disappear or until they can’t get any smoother. Then wash the CD in water. That should hopefully fix it. If not, just retry polishing with toothpaste. If a few cleanings do not solve the problem, then try a metal polish such as Brasso in the same manner as the toothpaste. There is also a solution that involves gently rubbing Vaseline on the CD from the center outward. But I’m of the opinion if it goes that far and the CD still can’t be read, then it’s time to trash it.

Something else to consider: If your CD drive has trouble reading CD’s or DVD’s that aren’t scratched, then you need to clean the drive’s laser lens. You’ll need a CD/DVD-Player Laser-Lens Cleaner for that. They can be purchased at any computer store and even Wal-Mart.

Ananhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14190504033371620866noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6593017373600233356.post-46222646689930971722009-04-28T20:12:00.001-07:002009-04-28T20:12:56.459-07:00How To Shop For Portable DVD PlayersIf you're always on the go, traveling or taking long road trips with the children, portable DVD players are likely one of the most important accessories to take along for the ride. The convenience of being able to watch movies anytime, anywhere is a huge benefit. If you are taking a long flight, experiencing delays on a commuter train or just want to keep the children entertained in the backseat during a road trip, portable DVD players are more than convenient - they are a sanity saver.

Before looking at portable DVD players, take the time to create a realistic budget. Most units range from $100.00 and up to several hundred dollars. If you know that there is an occasion coming up and you may want to purchase a unit, consider placing it on layaway at your local retail store. A layaway program typically consists of 10% down and convenient monthly payments until the balance is paid. At that time, the layaway ends and you take the product home. It's fully paid and you own a brand new portable DVD player. This is especially helpful if you don't have the cash on hand to pay for the unit all at once, but still want to secure the purchase. If you have the cash to pay upfront, that's great. If not, try layaway as opposed to charging the purchase on a credit card. With interest, you will likely end up spending a lot more in the long run unless you pay the balance off over a few months.

Now that you know how much you can spend, start looking at portable DVD players and their features. When making any type of investment in a product, you will want to check out the warranty. Most quality units offer 1 year labor and up to 3 years for replacement parts. Always be sure to save the original receipt, along with the warranty information. Portable DVD players offer a variety of screen sizes, so be sure to select one that is convenient for travel, easy to see and offers good quality images. Another important feature is that most portable DVD players offer the capability of both music and video playback, which means you can insert a music CD or movie on DVD and either can be enjoyed in a single unit.

With most portable DVD players, weight is not going to be an issue. They are designed to be lightweight because they are portable and the manufacturer expects that you plan to travel with the unit. But, some products are more lightweight than others, so shop around until you find one that isn't going to add a lot of extra bulk and weight to your travel bag.

Ananhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14190504033371620866noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6593017373600233356.post-40657683580481087062009-02-28T19:38:00.000-08:002009-02-28T19:38:00.457-08:00Find Inspiration From Watching An Inspiring DVD From Time To Time-It Is Good For Your SoulWith any dvd you will be able to find some sort of inspiration, just depending on your mood at that time in your life. Some people honestly believe that letting the children watch programs or movies is just unacceptable because too much television is bad for them or it might make them lazy children or it might hurt their eyes! The list of bad press that allowing children to watch movies gets goes on and on and on, do you get my point?

It is important to know that we are all entitled to our own opinion. As parents, we should be aware of what is right and what is wrong, whenever it comes to raising our own children. You can simply can not be too cautious whenever it comes to using good judgment when allowing them to enjoy watching a dvd every now and then or even once or twice a day. It will bring you great joy to see your children laughing and feeling other emotions while they are watching their favorite dvd at home and it will show you and prove to you that not all television is bad television, not all movies are bad for our children.

We as their parents just need to be more cautious whenever we choose to allow them to just watch any type of dvd, that should never happen. Online education is generally taught through the use of several different methods, including online satellite feeds, correspondence or online lessons. This technique permits the student to obtain a DVD repair degree without ever having to step inside of a classroom. An online education, providing that it is granted by a regionally accredited college or university, is broadly accepted as worthy training for any job in the direct field of study.

Online education is approachable in many ways, but students often neglect the fact that it is much more economical than a traditional campus degree. Why? When factoring in the costs associated with student housing & meals, which often begins at a total of $6,000 or more every year, the savings are evident. With an online DVD repair education, students pay only for the courses that they are taking and they often choose to do so on a per credit hour basis rather than paying the full tuition each year.

The type of distance education degree that everyone should abstain from is what is known as a ‘diploma mill.’ In exchange for a specified sum of money, which is often $1,000.00 or more, they will issue a life experience degree with little or no investigation into the applicant’s background. These businesses often feature a very professionally designed website and appear to be very much legitimate. In fact, they even guarantee potential students that they are issuing legal degrees. Upon further examination of these so-called colleges, students will learn that they can even purchase a transcript with any letter grade that they choose. But, what is the basis for the grade? No classes were ever required, no tests taken and no valid grades were issued. Individuals who are interested in earning a legitimate degree should be very wary of any college or institution that offers to provide a life experience degree based only on the word of applicant and does little, or no, investigation into the student’s background.

The truth is that the only actual way to receive life experience credit is to take the CLEP test, which is given periodically at local colleges and universities. In addition, a number of universities are willing to accept portfolio assessments in exchange for possible life experience credit. These are legitimate ways to earn life experience, or knowledge-based, DVD repair college credit.

Ananhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14190504033371620866noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6593017373600233356.post-1372984039151025162009-01-12T19:32:00.000-08:002009-01-12T19:35:48.388-08:00Alot You Need To Know About A DVDWhat I am about to tell you in this article is everything you need to know about a DVD. Why most people rather have DVDs than VHS. The first Digital Video Recording format was the Sony D1 format, which utilizes a standard definition component video signal and does not compress that signal. This format was integrated in 1983.

The very first dvd or digital video recording was very expensive though and was not commonly used among the public, but generally, use was confined to large television companies. In 1990 was the birth of QuickTime in its basic rough form, a product from Apple Computers that helped greatly in making the advantage of digital recording available to the larger consumer element of the public.

The span of 15 years has seen drastic positive advancements in the field of digital recording as the introduction of mpeg 1 and mpeg 2 data formats, which were apparently developed for use in television signal transmitting and also in DVD recording media, made the quality that the average computer system user could dabble with far greater. If you go to the store to get a dvd you will also know that there are regional dvds.

Each DVD-Video disc contains one or more region codes, denoting the area of the world in which distribution and playback are intended. The commercial DVD player specification dictates that a player must only play discs that contain its region code. In theory, this allows the motion picture studios to control the various aspects of a release, including content, date and price, region-by-region.

In practice, many DVD players allow playback of any disc, or can be modified to do so. Entirely independent of encryption, region coding pertains to regional lockout, which originated in the video game industry. A dvd is an awesome invention, there is simply no doubt about that. So, the more that you can admire and respect about the dvd, the more you will appreciate the fact that you get to have this experience.

A dvd is truly something amazing in itself, just because of the compactness of them and the fact that the longevity of them is so much longer than the old VHS tapes that we all used to have to watch with our families and those usually ended up getting the tape pulled out of them, it was almost something that you knew would be inevitable, and I am certain most of you can remember back to that occurring in your household more than once.

DVD stands for digital video disc is so compact and easy to use, even the younger children have the ability to start their own movies on their own televisions most likely. The DVD has now been around for many years and because of the technological advancements already continuing to be made, we only have much more fascinating things to look forward to experiencing as we grow older.

Your DVD collection is probably quite enormous by now, isn't it? I would imagine that you have found those discounted dvd's at wal-mart or over the internet, some of those are really incredibly cheap purchases for what you are getting, so make sure that you acknowledge how luck you are to be living in today's time and do not take anything for granted.

Ananhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14190504033371620866noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6593017373600233356.post-47132489835890881382009-01-10T20:26:00.000-08:002009-01-10T20:26:01.536-08:00Can’t I just do my CD and DVD duplication at home? You’ve just created an mp3 audio album that you want to make CD copies of, or maybe you have a collection of home video clips you’d like to burn to DVD and pass out to your friends. As far as you know home CD album duplication and DVD duplication require just a couple of things; a computer with a burner, CD-Rs and/or DVD-Rs, and the proper software. I have all that, so why can’t I just go ahead with my home CD/DVD duplication project? Here are a couple factors to take into consideration before you jump into your disc duplication project.

1. Speed/Volume
With your home set-up, you can burn CDs and DVDs one at a time, and you have to reload the burner manually. This is fine if your disc duplication project only consists of 1-10 pieces. (CDs or DVDs) Considering that burning one disc at 24x speed takes between 3-5 minutes, to burn a large amount of discs, you’re going to have to have a lot of time set-aside. Professional disc duplication facilities use multi-drive, auto-loading machines that can burn up to 8 discs simultaneously. This cuts down on the total cost of your CD or DVD replication package, and saves you the headache.

2. Quality
In addition to a certified maximum burn speed, CD-Rs and DVD-Rs all have physical parameters and properties that must be taken into account. To get the absolute best quality out of your CD album duplication or DVD disc replication project, you must follow certain guidelines. The guidelines are explained in the “Red Book” of audio, one of a set of color-bound books that contain the technical specifications for all CD and CD-ROM formats. Most professional CD / DVD duplication / replication houses follow these guidelines, and will produce better quality discs more often than not.

By all means, this article should not stop you from duplicating your CDs and DVDs at home. This is just here to educate you a little bit more about what the big guys are doing, and why it costs a tad bit more to get your discs duplicated by them.

Ananhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14190504033371620866noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6593017373600233356.post-28102159851087175112009-01-01T20:26:00.000-08:002009-01-01T20:26:01.019-08:00A Look at DVD Shrink Wrap SystemsShrink wrap machines use plastics to protect items from moisture and dirt during storage or transport. The plastic film is wrapped around the item and then the film is heated. It shrinks and conforms to the shape of the item, forming a barrier between the product and outside hazards. Shrink wrap systems may be small and manually operated for the home business, or large-scale automated machines used by shipping companies. Automatic machines can process more items and hour than their smaller counterparts.

DVDs can be easily shrink wrapped for a professional look that protects the DVD from the environment. Machines designed to shrink wrap DVDs work more efficiently than generic hand-held shrink wrapping systems. Some machines shrink wrap only DVDs; others can shrink wrap both DVDs and CDs. Machines specifically designed for DVDs are typically cheaper than dual systems, and can be purchased for under $5,000.

To shrink wrap a DVD with a shrink wrap machine, place a precut plastic cover on the machine's platform, and then place the DVD on top of the plastic. Close the machine's cover to heat seal the DVD. The sealing temperature is electronically controlled by the machine. These semi-automatic machines can shrink wrap about 200 DVDs an hour. Automated machines work twice as fast, shrink wrapping about 400 DVDs an hour.

More expensive, fully automatic machines can shrink wrap about 55 CDs or DVDs a minute, or about 3000 an hour. These machines cost about $16,000, but can also handle films other than plastic. Paper or cardboard could also be used, for example. Automated high throughput machines are portable and can sit on tables, taking up less space than floor-bound machines, but the table-top machines can shrink wrap DVDs and a comparable rate.

Several online stores sell all kinds of DVD shrink wrap systems at wholesale prices. These Web sites sell both the machines and the films need to shrink wrap DVDs. There you will find everything you need to package DVDS with a professional look.

Ananhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14190504033371620866noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6593017373600233356.post-48875292775327677542008-12-30T18:23:00.000-08:002008-12-30T18:23:00.862-08:00Online DVD Rental – The Wave Of The FutureIf you’re a movie lover, and you incessantly rent DVDs, the recent wave and exponential growth of the popularity of online DVD rental stores should please you. Some of can remember when we had to choose between cassette tapes and 8 tracks for music and VHS or BETA for video.
Most of us made the switch to DVDs a long time ago as the medium of choice for viewing movies but many people do not care for their DVDs properly. Often the main culprit is just plain and simple dirt and grime. When you start calculating the expense for trying to replace your DVDs, it is a lot smarter to prevent the damage in the first place. In addition you will maintain much better viewing quality for as long as you own the DVD.

It’s important to realize that even though DVDs may seem more impervious to destruction than your old video tapes, they really aren’t and should be treated with similar care. If you will follow some simple rules to care for your DVDs they will last you forever.

So let's take a look at some tips on how to care for your DVDs.

DO...
Handle discs by their edges only.
Remove discs from their containers carefully.
Replace discs in their containers immediately after use.
Store discs only in their supplied containers.
Keep discs well away from intense sources of heat.
Replace damaged containers immediately.
Clean playing surfaces with a clean, soft, lint free cloth.
Wipe playing surfaces only from centre to outside edge.
Load discs into a player's draw carefully.
Only use cleaners recommended by specialist dealers.

DON'T...
Touch the playing surfaces of discs.
Leave discs lying around unprotected.
Leave discs inside players longer than necessary.
Use unproved solvents or abrasive cleaners to clean discs.
Bend, twist or distort discs in any way.
Pull discs out without relieving the centre clamp.
Use discs as drink coasters or small Frisbees.
Handle your DVD with pizza sauce on your hands.

Ananhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14190504033371620866noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6593017373600233356.post-35100937086502176402008-12-10T18:22:00.000-08:002008-12-10T18:22:00.297-08:00Online DVD Movie Clubs! Where Entertainment And Convenience Come TogetherLike one big happy family, online DVD Movie Clubs have become a popular choice among families and individuals that are searching for movie rentals with the online services and convenience! Not only do they offer convenient special features, but also their value and additional benefits are far more valuable over renting at your local movie store!

For many of you that still rent at local video stores, it may be a little transition for you to join a DVD Club, and it will take a bit of getting used to having your movie and games arrive via your mail box several days later after your initial order. However, once your movies and game choices arrive, there will be an excitement that will come over you because most, if not all, people love to receive packages in their mail.

It’s fun, and all your title choices and top releases you picked online will be ready to watch and enjoy when they arrive at your door. The best thing about being part of a movie rental club is that you don’t have to worry about sending them back right away, and you’ll never experience late fees again!

I know it’s spring, and soon it will be summer, but winter is never too far away, and when the downpour of rain or the blizzards of snow arrive, and it becomes really cold and dark out, you will truly be relieved knowing you don’t have to jump in a cold car, and drive all the way to your video store to return your videos, especially the ones you haven’t finished watching yet.

What Are The Benefits Of Renting Movies and Video Games Online?

For many years we had only one choice, and that was to rent from the local Blockbuster, or the independent store that smelled like mothballs and old attics. If you didn’t live close to the bigger rental stores, you were limited to what they had available when you finally arrived.

With unlimited rentals online available through your choice of club store, you can easily have access to thousands of releases, downloads, and DVD reviews that will help you decide on whether the movie you want to rent is going to be the one you really desire to watch. Nothing is more annoying than getting a movie or game home to find out it was truly a complete flop!

There are many times your movie club will offer you periodic club offers and specials, and how often do you get that from your local rental store? If they happen to offer you any deal, it’s because they know they’re about to lose you to the online competitors.

When you do the actual comparison of online rental clubs versus your local video outlets, the smart choice is taking advantage of the online rental services the movie entertainment stores provide. Online renting is growing dramatically, and more people are experiencing the value and the overall convenience they offer.

You can still support your local movie store for quick last minute movie decisions, but when it comes to getting exactly what you want in title selections, and the fact that you don’t have to ever worry about sending them back late with a penalty, those are features that are going to please many video enthusiasts for many years to come!

Ananhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14190504033371620866noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6593017373600233356.post-50396087685821484472008-12-08T20:25:00.000-08:002008-12-08T20:26:13.433-08:00Are You Searching For The Best DVD Replication Service? You definitely go for the best dvd replication service, if you intent on publishing heaps of original DVDs. So does the animated movie live up to the hilarity of the television show? Read on and find out – doh!
The town of Springfield’s lake is overly polluted and socially conscious Lisa Simpson (Yeardley Smith) rallies the town to clean it up. Her dad Homer (Dan Castellaneta) saves a pig from being slaughtered after it’s used as a prop in a Krusty the Clown commercial and starts to treat it like the son he always wanted.

This doesn’t set well with Bart (Nancy Cartwright) who finds that Mr. Flanders (Harry Shearer) is a more caring father than his pig loving one. Homer’s new oinking child does what pig’s do and Homer puts the results in a huge silo in the backyard (well, Homer did put a little of himself into the job). His wife Marge (Julie Kavner) tells him to get rid of the silo of pig waste.

Homer does of course, by dumping it on Lake Springfield. This infusion of pollution causes the Environmental Protection Agency to become alerted to the situation. They react in their usual restrained manner – the director Russ Cargill (Albert Brooks) orders that a huge glass dome cover the town.
The Simpsons eventually find themselves outside the dome and Homer decides to take off rather than help his neighbors (especially since they formed an angry mob against him when they found out that it was his silo that pushed the lake over the limit). He takes the family to Alaska and start over again, but the rest of the family thinks they should return and save Springfield.

The Simpsons have been a television hit since they started airing in 1989. There’s always been talk that creator Matt Groening should bring his jaundiced creations to the big screen. He’s seemingly been happy on the small screen but it has finally come to pass and the results are hilarious.
The film does play like a bigger and extended episode of the television show. It has some hilarious commentary on society as well as just outright wacky comedy. One bit of commentary has the church folk running to Moe’s bar and the bar patrons running to church as the giant dome of doom is placed over the town.

We also have an extended Bart dare as he skateboards in the buff down to the Krusty Burger. Not to mention the “Spider Pig” song that my kids would sing during the theatrical trailer.

Where this disc lets down a little is not in the content of the film but in the special feature department. It feels really rather light and you keep thinking that a more expansive special edition will be in the works somewhere down the line – doh!.

The Simpsons is presented in anamorphic widescreen (2.35:1) and is enhanced for 16x9 televisions. A fullscreen version is available separately. Special features include two commentary tracks.

The first one features writer/creator Matt Groening, writer/producer James L. Brooks, writer/producer Al Jean, writer/producer Mike Scully, director David Silverman, Yeardley Smith, and Dan Castellaneta, and the second one includes director Silverman, and sequence directors Mike B. Anderson, Steven Dean Moore and Rich Moore.

There are 5 minutes of deleted scenes introduced by Al Jean. The “Special Stuff” section has 3 minutes of Simpsons appearances on the Tonight Show, American Idol, and a parody of the “Let’s go to the Lobby” concession stand spiel. That’s it. Seems pretty light to me.

The movie is hilarious, but the extra features feel like a bit of a letdown as far as deleted scenes go, the commentaries are top notch. It’s well worth it for the film. I must knock it down a bit because it could’ve been a bigger set (and I suspect will be somewhere down the line).

Ananhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14190504033371620866noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6593017373600233356.post-24859606830419416302008-11-20T18:20:00.000-08:002008-11-20T18:20:00.894-08:00DVD Online Rentals! Rent Movies In Your Pyjamas, And Watch Them In Your Jammy's TooWhen it comes to convenience, DVD online rentals have to be the most convenient way to rent your favorite movie releases without having to leave your comfy couch in your home!

Since the Internet opened the DVD rental service market, many individuals and families quickly took advantage of the valuable features they offered, such as free trial periods, and also the low introductory membership fees that lets you rent unlimited movies per month, and you never have to experience late fees ever again.

If you haven’t taken advantage of the rental services through many online movie companies including Blockbuster, Intelliflix, and DVD Avenue, and for the Canadians the Zip.ca rental site, than you don’t know what your missing.

With a monthly membership, you can choose and rent as many movies as you like, however, many online rental companies will allow 3 out at a time. That’s not bad, considering once you get the shipping system down, you can have a load of movies and games coming to your door just as fast as you ship them back!

Top Entertainment Titles From Classics, Comedy, To Adult Videos Are Delivered Directly To Your Door!

Having delivery to your door is the future, and many movie and game rental enthusiasts are taking advantage of this feature, and eliminating frustrating line-ups for good! The rental process is simple, and when you go to Blockbuster’s or the online video store of your choice, all you have to do is visit the your interested categories. Find your choice of film or game, and click the computer mouse and that’s all it takes.

Online movies are sent to you within days, and most online rental companies will let you know the average time it will take to arrive. Then all you have to do is wait until they arrive, and you’re ready to watch them as many times as you like.

Late Fees Are The Thing Of The Past! For The Renters Who Forget To Return Their Movies, No More Worries!

You may remember the times you were charged nasty late fees that ended-up being more than the actual DVD movie you only planned to rent for a day or two. I recall the local movie rental store being so rude and inflexible with the fees, and it made me very angry.

I considered myself responsible, and when the odd occasion I would forget to take a movie back, or I just got too busy and couldn’t make it to the store on time. I would sneak the movie into the drop box, but the next time I went in to rent a flick, it almost seemed that they waited for day to push the fee in my face.

When many of the top online rental companies expressed there were no online fee charges, I was extremely excited, and looked forward to going to my local store to tell them that they would not be getting anymore of my excess late fees, because I was not going to rent from them anymore! I was about to venture in renting my movies from this day forward via the Internet, and the rest was history.

Ananhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14190504033371620866noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6593017373600233356.post-4957882979035318682008-11-14T18:09:00.000-08:002008-11-14T18:20:03.252-08:00Convert your DVD movies to play on an iPodMost iPods, besides their music features, offer high quality video capabilities; it’s one of the reasons they are one of the most versatile gadgets on the market. We all enjoy watching movies to relax and unwind, so why not convert your own DVDs to the iPod format and watch them whenever you want, wherever you are?

Transferring your DVD movies to play on your iPod, iPhone, Touch, or Nano can be simple, or in some cases, time-consuming and difficult. There are many iPod converters available, but only a few are worth purchasing: some are too expensive, some are hard to use, and many aren’t reliable (they mess up sound and/or picture, or they can’t convert new movies). A good iPod converter must meet the following conditions:

• User-friendly interface – the program must be easy to use.

• Fast encoding – the program must be able to encode fast so that the entire process will be finished fast.

• Versatile – the Converter should be able to output video for all iPod Video formats: Classic, Nano, Touch, and iPhone.

• Quality – the converted movie must offer excellent sound and picture quality.

• Error Processing – the program must be able fix any problems that appear during the converting process.

• Features – the program must have popular options implemented, such as picture quality, subtitles, different languages, etc.

It’s also helpful if the program has a tutorial/help section where the user can learn how to take advantage of extra features. Another important thing regarding conversion from a DVD to an iPod is the ability to zoom from widescreen to full screen. A good converter should have this feature implemented in order to allow for a clean transition.

The program should allow inexperienced as well as advanced users a satisfactory experience. For novice users, a good converter should have an option for automatically adjusting settings to achieve the best results. For advanced users, there should be the ability to manually adjust a wide variety of parameters. A good iPod converter should also allow converting from both NTSC and PAL DVD movies.

Excellent iPod converters can be found for around $40.00, and they’ll do everything, and often more, than some of the more expensive programs. You can try and go the inexpensive route, using two or three free programs in combination (Videora, DVD Shrink, Handbrake, etc.), but I found that the free programs involved a large number of steps, produced mixed results, and wouldn’t convert many new DVD movies (those produced over the past four years). Don’t get me wrong, I’m a thrifty guy, and if there’s a cheap way to do things, I‘m usually on-board, but in this case, the hassle just wasn’t worth it. The advantages offered by a good converting program far outweighed the trial and error hassles I found using outdated free programs.

Converting your DVD movies to play on an iPod allows one to watch their favorite movies and T.V. programs while on the bus or subway, on airplanes or long drives, or whenever you have a few free moments. DVD conversion software is getting more and more popular, as they facilitate the perfect transition from the ‘big screen’ to the ‘little screen’.

Ananhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14190504033371620866noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6593017373600233356.post-70491624099665639642008-10-30T23:09:00.000-07:002008-10-30T23:09:00.552-07:00DVD Errors, Scratched DVDs/CDs and Unfinalized DVDs recovery tips and tricks.
Simple and (hopefully!) free procedures to handle unsuccessfully finalized DVDs, damaged DVDs or DVDs that have not been burned correctly by a video camcorder or recorder and has some corrupt data.
It is a good idea for you to first consider other possible causes of what appear to be DVD errors such as a dirty disc surface, a dirty lens in the DVD reader or other software and hardware related problems. Prior to embarking on any of the following you need to eliminate all possible causes for having trouble with a DVD. Check to see your DVD burner has the latest firmware by going to the manufacturers website. Check to see if the media (brand and type) is compatible with your DVD burner/reader. Once you are certain that you have an unsuccessfully finalized DVD or a corrupt DVD you can get started.

Scratched DVD Disks

A simple visual inspection of the surface of the disc will tell you straight away whether your first problem is physical damage to the disc. If you can see a scratch or scratches on the surface then this may need to be addressed first. I say "may" because personally I use DVDFab to check to see if the disc will copy before I embark on any other course of action. DVDFab can read through a lot of surface errors because of its superior algorithms so I always take the lazy route and see if I can simply make a new copy. Now failing that you could go online and buy some expensive DVD scratch repair kit. Or you could do as I do and go to your local hardware store or even your own garage! All you will need is a bottle of any neutral colored (clear) car polishing product. Turtlewax happens to be the one I use. Take a VERY soft cloth (NOT paper towel), apply a little polish to the surface of the disc and GENTLY (remember, it's not a car!) rub the disc. Use straight strokes from the centre of the disc to the outer edge and continue to do this until you can see the scratch either disappear or reduce noticeably. Then using the same motion and fresh cloth buff the disc back to its original shine. Now try it with DVDFab. If you are still unsuccessful repeat the process until you can be certain, again by visual inspection, that the problem is now not coming from a damaged disc surface.

DVD Data Repair/Recovery

The software you can use for this are DVDFab, Nero 8 (trial) and Isobuster. In the case of Isobuster you can try the free features first but failing that the full featured version needs to be purchased. A straight search of Yahoo or Google will find you the relevant sites.

Put the problem disc in the DVD drive of your computer then:

1. DVDFab. Try to use DVDFab first, as it has the best algorithms for reading anything on a DVD including how it integrates with the DVD drive, honestly sometimes I think it would read a bagel if you put it in there!

Select "DVD to DVD." DVDFab will now try to read the contents of the disc and, if it can, write the contents to a folder on your hard drive. It is as simple as that. It is either going to work or not! If it does do it then the copy you now have on your hard drive will be fully repaired and you can then burn a new copy.

Failing that:

2. Isobuster. Using the free functions try to make a disc image file and burn to another DVD. Isobuster has three alternate methods of dealing with data corruption. It can replace the corrupted area with nothing, with fake data or with a series of zeros. It will give you the choice and just select them in order to try each until one works. Isobuster will not create the disc image file unless it knows it will be successful. If Isobuster has created the file (note where it was going to put it first!) you will have to re-name the extension to .iso. Use the disc image file to burn a new DVD disc. At this point, if you now have a new disc, you need to check that new one carefully. There is always the possibility that Isobuster has just made a perfect copy of your faulty disc! So now you have a brand new faulty disc!

Failing that: You will need to pay for the full version of Isobuster but ONLY buy it if you got this far. If Isobuster free couldn't even read the disc then don't bother.

From this point forward the best you can hope for is the extraction of the MPEG video files or data files on the disc. You ARE going to lose the video menus and you may lose some of the video or data.

a. Start Isobuster then load the disc.

b. When Isobuster has detected the files on the disc run the "Find Missing Files and Folders" option under the "File" menu.

c. You will now have an entry on the left hand column of "files and folders found by their signature."

d. Select that, then go to "File," "Files found via their signature" then "Extract files found via their signature." Choose a location and let it run.

Now you will have all the files where you selected them to go. The ones with the extension .VOB are the MPEG files from your disc wrapped in the VOB container. They can then be imported into a video editing program using the "Import DVD/VR" function or can be read by most DVD burning software.

Unfinalized discs.

If at all possible try to get the original device used to create the disc to finalize it. If this is not possible or the original device is failing to successfully finalize the disc you may have to resort to the Isobuster routine above.

If you have been left with an otherwise perfectly good disc, but unfinalized, do the following.

This requires Nero 8 (Trial version).

Go to the Nero website, download and install Nero 8. Yes, it's big...sorry!

Place the unfinalized disc into the computer DVD tray. Open Nero 8 StartSmart. Click "create and edit" at the top of the screen. Click "author, edit and capture video." NeroVision 5 will start. Click on the disk tools drop down menu then click "finalize disk." In the option box that appears choose "no menus" and let it run. Hopefully you now have a fully finalized disc that is readable.

Hope this helps!

Lance Carr MyEasyData.com

Lance is not very good at writing about himself in the third person. You might copy the DVD because you want to backup up a movie before it gets scratched, so if you are already doing this the chances are you have DVD copying software. Depending on the software you own you might only be able to copy DVD movies, but most software is capable of copying CDs, DVDs, Video tapes and games ( if the software is good ). Because of the wide range of DVD copying software choosing the software is a more gruelling task than actually copying the DVD.
The most obvious reason for Copying DVDs is to back up your DVD collection or Pc Game collection. With Games at £25-£35 Brand New and DVDs at £12-£20 Brand New a tiny scratch or mark would just be like taking £10-£20 and burning it. But with DVD copying software readily available you can easily and quickly make Copies of your games and DVDs, Games being easier to copy than Films of course. And once you have your copy you can use the copy instead of the original ensuring the original is in perfect condition should anything happen to the copy, and you always have it available to make more copies.

There are so many benefits of owning DVD burning/Copying software its unreal. It is so easy to make a copy of your Child's Nativity play that you recently filmed in order to send off to relatives who were unable to attend. DVD burning/Copying software is also immensely easy to use. Before you start to copy a Film you need to make sure the target disk will be big enough to store all of the data from the original disk, if it won't then it will just be a waste of time attempting to copy the DVD without first compressing it to make sure it fits. Compressing dual-layered movies into a single layer disk will help to preserve disk space, if your original Film is damaged during the copy process then the professional software "DVD Cloner" will help you restore the data. You can convert your Film into many different video formats including but not limited to .avi and .MPEG2 (.xxx is the file extension). With the advancement of technology then system requirements for DVD software shouldn't be an issue, but do make sure you have at least 10-15GB (Gigabytes) of free Hard Disk space.

Have you ever had a DVD you wanted to copy and popped it into your dvd burner and when you go to copy it you find the data is far too large to fit onto the DVD, this Is where Shrinking data comes into play. A lot of software programs can compress data from the original DVD so that it can fit onto your blank DVD. The software compresses/shrinks the data and makes it almost impossible to decipher whether or not the DVD is the original or a replica. For the average PC user Movie compression is a lengthy objective and can take a few hours, but for the more advanced Computers this time is "Compressed " to about an hour or less.

Andrew Swan is an average guy with interests in various aspects of life, check out his blog at http://copyingtodvd.blogspot.com/

Ananhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14190504033371620866noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6593017373600233356.post-44470758218076402182008-10-10T23:06:00.000-07:002008-10-10T23:06:00.998-07:00DVD Player Software: Its Importance and Buying Tips
DVD players are becoming an indispensable part of our life. DVD players deliver good quality sound and picture. But this quality does not only depend on the DVD players. DVD player software is equally important for that. DVD players are mainly used for two purposes - watching movies or video clips and listening to music.
A DVD player is just a tool for playing the DVDs. But it is of no use, if you do not install proper DVD playback software. These programs are very much necessary to play the DVD movie in a computer. These programs allow you to view the movies on a PC.

DVD players are judged by the quality of sound and picture provided by them. And to enhance these two qualities, you just need good DVD player software. Good software will make each and every sound audible to you.

While you are watching a movie on a DVD player, you will find the sound so clear and realistic that you will experience the joy of watching the movie in theaters. It will not be a problem even if you have only two speakers. All you need is to use a proper sound system, which is equipped with all the modern facilities, and then you will be able to experience the sound that likes of which you have never heard before.

The picture will also be very clear if the right software is installed in your player. Even if you play a movie in your computer, the color will be sharp and natural. It will help your computer to deliver sharp detail even in the shadowy scenes.

Buying DVD player software is very important and so you must have some ideas about good software. Only then will you be able to know which software is best for your machine. Thus, consider following points while buying DVD software:

Feature set

The first and foremost criterion that you must follow while buying DVD player software is to know about all the features of the particular software. Always opt for software that offers you a whole lot of latest features.

Easy to use

The software has to be user friendly, so that everybody can use it. It must contain a control panel. The video and audio configuration of the control panel has to be easy. It must have chapter selection and subtitle operation.

Easy installation and set up process

The installation process of the software has to be easy. Make sure that it works well with the other programs. Sometimes, poor quality software may not support run well with other programs, and this could adversely affect your system.

Video quality

Good DVD player programs have a good video quality. They produce video images that are crisp; the color that they display is very much real.

Audio quality

The audio quality has to be good. A good program should be able to cut down all the added sounds that harm the original sound.

Help documentation

The software must contain online support, a toll-free telephone support line and a built-in help section.

Today, a wide range of DVD player software is available in the market. All of them have different features. Some popular brands of these softwares are, DVD X Player, Win DVD Platinum, Power DVD, and Light Alloy, etc.

Victor Epand is an expert consultant for used DVDs, used movies, and used car stereos. The format of those disks evolved over the years.

The original formats only stored around 140kb, and their cost made disk duplication a tough job only manageable for large companies.

Later, the introduction of cheaper systems and high-density disks meant that disk duplication became much easier as well as cheaper and finally possible for smaller companies and individual users like us. Obviously, disk duplication played its part in establishing the duplication industry as it is today, and making file and software distribution more affordable and viable for smaller companies and private consumers. Imagine that we would not be able to burn CDs or DVDs so easily if there had not been any disk duplication with floppy disks!

Modern disk duplication like CD duplication or even DVD duplication is still widely sought after as a cost-effective way of rolling out system updates or cross-platform data transfer. Actually, many of the largest duplication companies in the industry today began in the disk duplication area a long time ago, long before optical media and CDs were invented. With the fall in popularity of the floppy disk, and the cost of maintaining old disk duplication systems, many companies no longer bother to offer floppy disk duplication, and prefer to leave this market to smaller specialist companies.

The best CD and DVD duplication companies as well as the Floppy Disk companies keep well-maintained duplication towers, and follow a systematic copy-verify procedure, which means that each disk, CD or DVD is checked byte by byte. When dealing with often sensitive information, the reliability of the disk duplication is of main importance. When looking for a company to carry out your disk duplication, CD duplication or DVD duplication, ensure that they follow a similar system.

But today, CD and DVD duplication is a lot more easy and affordable than was floppy disk duplication in the past. But what will be the next storage device to overtake CDs and DVDs?

http://www.adsense-income-exposed.com http://www.adsense.reprintarticlesite.com

Ananhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14190504033371620866noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6593017373600233356.post-2265640265185771372008-09-20T20:43:00.000-07:002008-09-20T20:43:00.585-07:00How A CD/DVD Is Silkscreened
In 1907, Samual Simon of England took out the first patent on the printing process using screens. John Pilsworth adopted the process and used it to create multicolor prints which opened the door to all kinds of new applications that we see today.
One of those applications is the silk-screening of a media disc surface. If you have ever bought or rented a DVD or CD, any art on the face of the disc was most likely silkscreened. The difference in appearance of a store bought CD as opposed to a duplicated CD is noticeable because store bought CDs are mostly replicated and the face of the disc is printed using a silkscreen method. Much in the same way as shirts or other items are silkscreened.

The process used is the same as used for shirts, or specialty items. It uses a screening process that runs colored UV ink over the screens in a separate run for each color being used.

To silk-screening a CD or DVD, the screening machines have round indentations in a table top for the discs to be automatically set into. The machine is entirely controlled by robotic CNC and places, screens, and removes the disc all automatically with an operator running the machine. A Robotic arm operates the actual screens and lowers each disc onto the table as it is rotated into position on the table.

A pre-measured color of Ink is applied by a controlled dispenser and then a squeegee spreads the ink across the screen in a smooth controlled fashion which in turn transfers the ink to a target disc. With t-shirt silk screening, many times the squeegee is done by hand but with the discs, it is all operated by an expensive CNC robotics machine.

After each color is applied, the automated table rotates to the next position but will actually skip one position to allow some air-drying between coats. This allows for two set of discs being screened at once. Each position on the system wheel has a different color and different screen.

Ink is applied in an exact measured amount so that there is no dripping or bleeding while it spread through the screen with a squeegee. The inks used for the process are specially formulated for silk-screening on to a lacquered CD or DVD surface.

After the ink is applied, the discs move to a station on the table that is equipped with UV lamps which cures the ink. After they pass through the UV lamp station, they are removed from the replication press by a robotic arm and stacked onto an output spindle for spindle bundling or packing.

Silk-screening a CD or DVD will give the disc a store bought look and can actually accomplish prints that can not be done with Ink Jet or Thermal printing. Some disc artwork requires that the inside depressed ring be filled with ink to give the finished product a completely flat surface and with a printed duplicated disc you can not accomplish that effect. Silk-screening allows for a much more complicated print layout onto the surface of the disc.

There are many companies that perform CD/DVD silkscreening and you can even have it done to blank discs. Check around for the best price that will fit your budget.

Ananhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14190504033371620866noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6593017373600233356.post-10688885782215013552008-09-15T23:06:00.001-07:002008-09-15T23:06:14.618-07:00Some Useful Tips About Repairing DVD ROMs
One of the major problems with DVD ROMs is that the DVD is not being ejected properly. You are trying to view your favorite movie and the DVD gets jammed half way through the movie. The problem may have been caused by a faulty laser or something else that has gone wrong in the disk. You will naturally make an attempt at repairing DVD ROMs.
Nowadays, removable disk ROMs come at a throwaway price. Therefore, it is more than probable that you would be able to strike a better deal for your new DVD ROM. The new instrument would give you warranty as well as the stability of a fresh product.

The catch is that when you give your removable device to the service center they would take some time to correct the fault. Until you get your product back, you would not have the luxury of using an alternative or replacement. Your next best option is to repair the DVD ROM yourself. A number of ways are there by which you can repair your DVD ROM by yourself without going to the service center.

If the problem is that the DVD tray does not open, then one of the easy ways out is to use a pin. If you look carefully at the DVD ROM you are using you would notice that just beside the indicator button there is a small hole. The hole is tiny and a pin or something similar alone can be used. If the front tray is stuck then push the pin inside the hole and wait for the sound of a click. Opening of the lock is indicated by the clicking sound.

After running for a year or so, the tray becomes dirty and unreadable. The laser head also gets into a similar state. The best way out is to buy a disk cleaning kit, and use it on the ROM. Insert the cleaning CD into the tray, and run it as an ordinary audio CD. After running for 3-4 minutes, the head of the laser will be cleaned. If the drive is still not cleaned, run the whole process a second time. This is one of the easiest and fastest ways of repairing DVD ROMs.

An alternative to using the head cleaning CD and fluid is the use of a moist linen cloth. Soak a piece of dry linen cloth in spirit and make it moist. Then use the moist cloth to wipe the tray of your DVD ROM and the laser head. Do not use cotton to wipe the head, as it would then leave some of its finer fragments on it.

Suppose the disk you inserted is not showing up on the computer disk drive. The message given is 'disk not found'. Simply take out the DVD from the tray and wipe it with cotton or soft linen. Wipe it in a clockwise circular fashion from outer to the inner base. This would ensure that no harm is done to the data structure. When the disk is cleaned, put it into the drive and run.

As far as solving the problems of your DVD ROMs are concerned, the best advice is to try repairing DVD ROMs by yourself first, and then call for help only if you fail to solve them.

Victor Epand is an expert consultant for used DVDs, used movies, and used car stereos.
